Program Manager, Grantee Experience (Independent Contractor)
Program Manager, Grantee Experience - Independent Contractor
Scope of Services
This is an independent contractor engagement, not an employment role. The successful contractor will provide services under a defined scope and will not be engaged as an employee.
1. Project Overview
Tilt Collective is engaging an independent contractor to provide program and grantee engagement support to strengthen relationships with partners and grantees across key portfolios. The engagement will initially focus on Brazil and US grant making, with additional support across Tilt Collective’s countries and programs as required.
The Contractor will provide specialist support to enhance program implementation, strengthen compliance processes, and improve communication between Tilt Collective and its organizational partners. The Contractor will operate independently, using their own professional expertise and judgement, while collaborating with Tilt Collective stakeholders as needed to deliver the agreed services.
2. Scope of Services and Deliverables
The Contractor will provide the following services. Percentages indicate anticipated focus and do not guarantee a minimum or maximum time allocation.

3. Term and Time Commitment
The anticipated start date is as soon as reasonably practicable, with an expected commencement by Q1 2026.
The engagement is expected to average up to 20 hours per week for planning purposes. Tilt Collective guarantees a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week for the first six months of the engagement.
Hours above this level may be required by mutual agreement and in line with agreed deliverables and timelines. The Contractor retains discretion over how and when the services are performed, subject to meeting those deliverables and timelines.
4. Collaboration and Communications
The Contractor will work primarily with the Grants Director, who will serve as the primary point of contact. Regular touchpoints may be scheduled to align on priorities, deliverables, and timelines. These touchpoints are intended for coordination and information sharing and do not create a reporting or supervisory relationship.
5. Performance and Deliverables
Successful delivery will be assessed based on the quality, timeliness, and completeness of agreed outputs, including but not limited to:
Grant making documents produced
Proposal reviews and written assessments completed
Partner and grantee engagement activities delivered
Contributions to process improvement and learning
Feedback from relevant stakeholders, including the Grants Team and Program or Country leadership, may be used to inform the overall assessment of the services delivered.
